Fender and Saint Laurent have joined forces to create a special co-branded collection that celebrates their shared legacies. This collaboration showcases a limited-edition Stratocaster guitar, a ’65 Deluxe Reverb Fender x Saint Laurent Amplifier, and Celluloid Picks. As YSL was founded in 1961, the same year Fender was experiencing its legendary “Golden Era,” the partnership is rooted in a shared history of innovation and excellence in the realms of fashion and music.

Justin Norvell, the Executive Vice President of FMIC Product, expressed his admiration for Saint Laurent as a revered luxury brand and a powerful force in fashion culture. He expressed honor in collaborating with them to infuse iconic elements from both brands’ heritage into the exquisite “Limited Edition Saint Laurent” collection.

At the heart of this collection is a sleek gloss-black urethane Stratocaster guitar. It boasts an alder body, a maple ’60s Oval “C”-shaped neck with a flat-laminated ebony fingerboard, and sterling silver dot inlays. The 1-ply phenolic pickguard is equipped with hand-wound ’60s Stratocaster pickups in black lipstick covers, offering a contemporary aesthetic without compromising Fender’s renowned tone.

The amplifier, a timeless classic from Fender, showcases the beloved mid-’60s style adored by rock, blues, and country musicians worldwide. Featuring black grille cloth, upgraded covers, and YSL logo embellishments, this amplifier is a true standout in the collection. Completing the set, custom Celluloid Picks are included, designed to accommodate various playing styles and techniques. These picks come in Fender’s classic 351 shape, ensuring a comfortable grip. The set of six picks is available in black, white, and checkered designs, elegantly housed in a co-branded collector’s tin.

Only ten guitars have been produced worldwide, and they are exclusively available at SLRD stores in Paris and Los Angeles. However, additional guitars can be created upon request, allowing enthusiasts to experience the unique collaboration between Fender and Saint Laurent.
