Seven For All Mankind by Anna Dello Russo

Italian fashion icon Anna Dello Russo has dropped a fire clothing collaboration. Teaming up with Seven For All Mankind, Dello Russo combines Swarovski crystals with denim to create a seven-piece capsule collection that launches this Friday. The collection, aptly named Seven For All Mankind by Anna Dello Russo, includes a shirt, shorts, jumpsuit, jeans, body-con dress, cropped denim jacket, and cropped tank.

Drawing inspiration from the ’90s, Dello Russo adds a touch of sexiness to the collection with tighter silhouettes, in contrast to today’s oversized clothing trends. In a phone interview, she explains, “I set out with the idea to make the collection related to body consciousness. All the pieces and items on the jeans and pants are very sculpted, lifted, tight to the body. Second, I put denim next to glamour. In this case, I put crystals on the fabric to make it more glamorous. It is a contradiction.”

The collection features Swarovski crystals in various ways, with the body-con dress adorned with cutout circles surrounded by crystals, the denim shirt boasting crystals on its front pockets, and the shorts embellished with crystals on the pockets. The denim jacket showcases cutout circles studded with crystals, while the denim pants, with their bootcut shapes, feature cutout circles surrounded by crystals. The campaign features supermodel Stella Maxwell, with Dello Russo serving as the creative director and stylist.

Retail prices for the pre-fall 2023 collection will range from $298 to $898. Bloomingdale’s and Harrods, as well as select stores and online platforms, will carry the collection. This collaboration is not Dello Russo’s first rodeo. She has previously worked on capsule collections with Yoox, Los Angeles streetwear brand RtA, Swedish retailer H&M, Atelier Swarovski, and most recently, Max&Co.

Dello Russo shares that she was approached by Seven For All Mankind a year ago to collaborate on this project. “My collaboration came after I exited Vogue Japan [as fashion editor at large]. That made me more free to do different experiences and collaborations,” she reveals. With an illustrious career that includes 12 years as the fashion editor at Vogue Italia, Dello Russo continues to push boundaries and explore new ventures. Her 2018 fashion tome, “AdR: Beyond Fashion,” showcased her diverse range of work, featuring photographs of clothes she auctioned off at Christie’s for charity, a pop-up children’s style book, and a magazine-style section.

The Seven For All Mankind collaboration further cements Dello Russo’s reputation as a visionary in the fashion industry, constantly seeking to challenge norms and merge contrasting elements to create stunning and unique designs.
